This page explains what data we collect when you visit bri-eg.com or use our shop, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We aim to keep this short and plain — if anything is unclear, please email us at info@bri-eg.com.
1. Who we are
Albassem Refrigeration Industries S.A.E., with its head office in 6th of October City, Giza, and a branch in Tanta, Egypt, operates the website bri-eg.com (the "Site"). For the purposes of this notice, Albassem is the data controller for any personal data collected through the Site.
2. What we collect
We collect the following kinds of data through the Site:
Always (essential)
- Technical data sent by your browser — your IP address, browser, operating system and device type — which our servers record to keep the Site secure, detect fraud and audit access.
- A session cookie called
session_id, which keeps your shopping cart and, if you sign in, your login. - If you place an order or create an account: the name, email address, phone number, and delivery address you provide. We need this to fulfil and deliver the order.
Your visitor profile
- Our website software keeps a visitor profile for your browser: your country and language, the pages you visit and when, and the products you view. If you sign in or contact us, the profile is linked to your contact record.
- We use it to show the products you recently viewed in the shop, to understand which pages and products interest our visitors, and to follow up on your enquiries.
The cookie banner
When the cookie banner is enabled on the Site, the optional cookies listed below are only set after you accept them. If you click Decline or accept only the essential cookies, no optional cookies are set.
Product catalogue
Product catalogue: if you accept optional cookies, we record which products you view, the conditions you calculate, comparisons, datasheet downloads and enquiries, linked to your visitor profile and, once you contact us, to your enquiry. We keep these records for 24 months, then keep only anonymous totals.
When you contact us or subscribe
- When you send the contact or quotation form, we store your name, email address, phone number, company and message as an enquiry in our customer relationship system, so our team can answer you and follow up.
- When you subscribe to our newsletter, we add your email address to our mailing list. Every newsletter contains a link to unsubscribe.
- Our forms are protected against spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical information about your browser and connection (such as your IP address) before the form is sent.
3. How long we keep it
- Visitor profiles, with the pages and products viewed, are deleted automatically after 60 days without a visit.
- Order and account data is kept as long as the account is active and as required by Egyptian commercial law (currently 5 years).
- Your newsletter subscription is kept until you unsubscribe.
- Cookies expire as shown in the table below. You can delete them at any time through your browser's privacy settings.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the Site and our business:
- the delivery service that delivers your order, which receives the delivery details of that order;
- our hosting provider, which runs the servers of the Site;
- Cloudflare, whose Turnstile service checks our forms for spam and receives technical data about your browser and connection;
- Google, which delivers the emails we send (Gmail) and stores our backups (Google Drive); some pages of the Site also load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address;
- WhatsApp, when you choose to contact us or to send a payment confirmation over WhatsApp.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you what data we hold about you;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your data and close your account;
- export your order history in a portable format.

When the cookie banner is enabled, you can change your decision at any time by deleting the website_cookies_bar cookie from your browser's site data — the banner will reappear on your next visit.
7. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. We use industry-standard infrastructure (Odoo with a PostgreSQL database) and apply principle-of-least-privilege access controls inside Albassem. We will notify affected users without undue delay if we detect a breach involving personal data.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change anything important, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and — for material changes — ask for your consent again where your consent is needed.
