Desuperheater heat exchangers
Air-cooled coils that take the superheat out of the CO2 discharge gas in subcritical systems.
About this design
In subcritical CO2 systems the gas leaving the compressor is strongly superheated. A desuperheater cools it with ambient air, blown by an axial fan over a copper-tube, aluminium-fin coil, to a temperature still above condensing: for heat recovery, or to bring the gas to the right inlet temperature for a second-stage compressor.
Units are designed to order. To size one, send us the ambient air temperature, the CO2 inlet pressure, the gas inlet and outlet temperatures, and the mass flow (kg/h) or the required capacity (kW).
Albassem BRI supplies Karyer special designs in Egypt: our engineers size each unit with you for your site and conditions.
